Summer Morning Practices (Monday, May 25th - Tuesday, June 23rd)
We know kids have camps and other commitments.  Assigned practice times can be flexible to accommodate camp schedules (just ask the Coach first), and we will have an evening practice option Mon-Wed during June that can accommodate up 12 swimmers age 7+ (this will be managed with a signup genius that will come out closer to June - there was no issue with getting a spot last in these practices last year).

Monday - Thursday (flexibility likely - depends on numbers)

    • 8 - 9 am: "Camp Hour" - any age who can't make it to their scheduled practice (understand that some will need to leave at 8:30 or 8:45)
    • 9 - 9:30 am: 6 & Under
    • 9:30 - 10:15 am: 7/8s (flexible for 9+ depending on numbers)
    • 10:15 - 11:00 am: 9 & up

Fun Fridays (Every Friday beginning Friday, May 29)

    • All swimmers: Drop-in 9:00 - 11:00 am
    • Free swim and donuts to celebrate after each meet.  Parents must remain on the pool deck and monitor children UNDER 8 during this time unless an exception has been discussed with the Coach. Coaches are not acting as life guards during this time.

Limited Summer Evening Practice (ages 7+)

    • Monday - Wednesday beginning June 2
    • 6:00 - 6:45pm
    • *SignUp Genius - link coming soon
    • *Limited to ~12 swimmers - we don't anticipate problems with space - If needed, we'll look at expanding this practice
    • *Run by a Junior Coach

Is practice mandatory? We encourage swimmers to attend all practices during the week if they wish to truly improve throughout the season. The more they come to practice the more they will work on their strokes and build endurance. But, practice is not mandatory - If they can’t make it to practice every day, we get it. Summer can be busy with camps and parent work schedules.

For our older swimmers (13+), we would still love to have them on our team even if they can’t make practices but would like to be a part of the team and compete in the meets.

We can’t come to the practice time assigned for my swimmer’s age group. Can we come to a different practice time? We generally like swimmers to swim with their age groups, but we can accommodate exceptions. Let the Head Coach know to ensure we have enough coaches on hand and balanced lane assignments.

What if it's cold in the morning? We usually won't cancel practice unless it's unsafe due to weather.  If it's cold, we may do some out of the water stroke work and conditioning.  If it's tolerable, we'll be in the water but the coaches will keep the swimmers in the water.  If you know your child will be upset by practicing in chillier weather, please make the best choice for your child on that day - this is recreational summer swim - the point is to have fun, make friends, improve swimming - if you miss a practice, it's okay!
